The next Valley wide Youth Event will be

Friday, June 20th

Valley Wide Mattress Race
starting point: Westwood Inn parking lot
starting time: 7:00 p.m.
Finishing line: CBF Church Highway 83


(refreshments served at CBF)

what you need to bring: old, discarded mattresses enough for your group.
single mattress: for 4 people
double: for 6-8
queen: for 8-10
King (if you can find one!): for as many as needed to carry that thing across town :-)

Here's how you run the race:

Each group carrying a mattress is a team.
Each team carries their mattress from the Westwood to CBF Church.

Chasers (Youth Leaders in vehicles) drive around town looking for "a team".
If they spot a "team" they must honk their horn and it is considered a point against that team.
The chaser moves on and must go at least three blocks away before they can come back and try to catch that particular team again.
Chasers must be no farther away than a block when they honk.

If the team spots the chaser first they must drop their mattress and the whole team must be jumping up and down on it therefore
avoiding a point against them.

The team with the least points against them at the finish line wins!

Teams must stay on public property roadways, back alleys and parking lots. Vehicles also must stay on public roads and not private
driveways.
